Reid Stowe created a miracle being at sea non-stop for over 3 years. The last 2 years, he was alone on his 70 foot Schooner Anne in the middle of the ocean. How he survived the very challenging journey is amazing. His boat was damaged near the beginning in a collision with a freighter and he sailed with a disabled boat all those years. He even capsized a couple of times. You can see the journey on his website 1000days.net and look at a map that shows the GPS of each day. Peter Roth interviews Soanya Ahmad who was on this record breaking voyage with Reid Stowe on Schooner Anne. Reid’s initial goal was 1000 days at sea but will now go on to over 1100. Soanya talks about the first 305 days that she was on board and then a boat came out from Perth, Australia to pick her up so she could get home to deliver their baby. Reid has continued sailing alone and survives on what’s on board and in the sea. He will arrive back in New York in June.
